What impresses me the most is that the mouse pad doesn't interfere when you are touch typing. I've tried out HP's, Dells, Toshibas etc and they make touch typing almost impossible. The amount of times I end up with half a sentence in with the wrong paragraph because the mouse has moved the cursor - too many to mention and really irritating! That's not a good enough reason to buy a laptop but it's a reasonable one, however I really like this laptop and I've owned nearly all the top makes over the years (excluding Apple - love them but just can't justify the price).I've had an Acer before which was very reliable despite considerable misuse so hopefully this one will last the test of time. Fine if you're 18 with perfect eyesight, not so good if your eyesight is less than perfect. To get this kind of resolution on this size screen, I feel you need to go to IPS screen technology, like the Apple and Android tablets use.
